Math Quiz on Whole Numbers

There will be a math quiz on Tuesday which will cover what we have done in our first unit this year. Students will be asked to represent given numbers in various ways (standard form, expanded form, words, base ten blocks, place value chart) and identify the value of an underlined digit in a number. Students will be asked to round numbers to the tens, hundreds and thousands place (ten thousand for grade 5 students). As well students will be asked to compare given numbers to decide which is greater or least, and order lists of numbers from least to greatest and greatest to least. Please review and practice these concepts at home over the next 6 days to help students prepare for the quiz. If a student is needing extra help with one of these concepts, please write a note to me so that I may assist them with it.
